Bonfire Pep

Rally

Treutlen County Schools will host a bonfire pep rally for the community at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 18, to help excite the community about the upcoming Homecoming Game. The bonfire will be held at the Treutlen County Recreation Department, and will feature a grand entry parade, car demolition, concessions, and more. For more information, call (912) 529-7101.

Lyons Citizen of the Year

Nominations are welcome and tickets are now on sale for the 2025 Lyons Citizen of the Year banquet, which will be held at 6:30 p.m. on September 25 at the First Baptist Church in Lyons. Tickets are $25 per person. Tickets and nomination forms may be picked up at People’s Bank of Lyons, Ameris Bank of Vidalia, Vidalia Federal Savings Bank in Lyons, and the Greater Vidalia Chamber.
