Five members of the Kiwanis Club of Vidalia were recognized for maintaining over fifty years of membership at the Club’s meeting on Tuesday, July 22.

Andrew, and Tom Peterson have been pillars of the Vidalia chapter of the club’s success, as together, they have served over a quarter of a millennium. On July 22, the men were presented with 50-year pins by Georgia Kiwanis District Governor David Simmons to commemorate this dedication.

In addition to Simmons, the men’s wives, and Past Georgia Kiwanis Governor Byron Mullican and Past Georgia Kiwanis Lieutenant Governor Gary Howard attended the meeting to celebrate the accomplishment.

The men collectively agreed that they had enjoyed their time in the civic club, and were excited to continue many more years of membership. They encouraged community members to get involved in the community and join the group.
