The Brewton-Parker Barons kick off the 2025 fall sports campaign with two exhibition matches at home, taking on USC Salkehatchie on August 12th and Georgia Military College on August 16th. The Barons are looking to improve from last season and kick off the regular season with a road match against Toccoa Falls College on August 20th. The Barons' regular season home opener is scheduled for August 23rd, featuring a matchup against Columbia International University. The Barons kick off conference play with a road trip, taking on Blue Mountain Christian University (Miss.) on September 18th. The Barons end the season with a home game against Point University on October 18th.
The Barons have several key contributors returning, including Junior Outside Back, Rayane Sid Ahmed from Sale, Morocco. Rayane started 12 games for the Barons and served as an anchor on the defensive side of the ball, while also being a leader both on and off the pitch. The Barons are excited to bring back William Bayles (Sophomore), a central defensive midfielder out of Nassau, Bahamas. Bayles is a strong part of the Barons' transition game and helps facilitate the offense. The Barons are excited to add Taha Souiri, a native of Casablanca, Morocco. Taha, an outside back, brings intensity, professionalism, and desire to the Barons.
Head Coach Bob Neumann shared his thoughts on last season's results and the upcoming campaign. 'We're looking forward to it. We've had a challenging few seasons, but we're working to establish a program that can serve in the long term. Our goal for this year is to reach the level of soccer that we believe we're capable of playing. In the spring semester, we acquitted ourselves well, and we think that it is a great platform to continue growing from. It also doesn't hurt to add some high-quality players to solidify things. With the schedule we've put together, we believe we should be well-prepared for play in the Southern States Athletic Conference.
We look forward to seeing everyone at the games.' The Barons are ready to kick off their season.
