A MESMERIZING VIEW - The Alamo Fire Department hosted the city’s annual Independence Day Celebration on Saturday, June 28. The event featured live music, vendors, kids activities, and fireworks. The City of Vidalia will host a similar event at Ronnie A. Dixon City Park on Friday, July 4, beginning at 5:30 p.m.

The city of Vidalia will celebrate Independence Day with the annual downtown celebration on Friday, July 4, as they fill the air with music and light up the sky with fireworks.

The event will begin at Ronnie A. Dixon City Park at 5:30 p.m., as gates open and the public is invited to come enjoy free activities. The Eight Track Flashback Band – who specializes in high-energy mix of Oldies, Blues, Funk, Rock, Country, Pop, Disco, Beach music, Show tunes, and hits from every decade – will take the stage at 6:00 p.m. Fireworks will begin at 9:30 p.m.

The celebration is free and open to all members of the public. Patrons are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, but coolers and pets are not permitted. Food, drink, and beer and wine vendors will be on site.
