Unity in the Community to Host Fireworks Celebration on Saturday

The Unity in the Community monthly event will kick off the summer in Mount Vernon on Saturday, June 7, with a celebration ending with a fireworks display at dark.

Unity in the Community was formed earlier in the Spring to bring Montgomery County and Mount Vernon citizens together through a series of events, such as an Easter egg hunt and vendors popup market on the Montgomery County Courthouse square.

To kick off the summer, the event will feature live music and vendors beginning at 2 p.m., and will light up the night with a fireworks display at dark.
