MAKING PLANS — Toombs County Retired Educator Association, Area 5, held their planning meeting on June 14, 2024, for the 2024-2025 year. Those in attendance were (L-R) Edna Shurley, Mary Alice Wilder, Paula Jones, Marlene Tomlin, Rushing Stephens, Lucy Claroni, Judy Hart, Lisa Parker, and Donald Parker. Meetings are held the first Thursday of each month at 10:30 a.m. at the Dr. Mark and Tonya Spivey Public Library (unless otherwise noted). PACKED MEETING – Several family members, friends, community members, and former students attended the Montgomery County Board of Education meeting on Tuesday, April 22, as the school auditorium was dedicated to Patricia Dobbins.
