PATRIOT WALK - Members of the community gathered in downtown Vidalia Saturday for a Patriot Walk in remembrance of the victims of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Participants walked with the Vidalia Fire Department Honor Guard and numerous local officials to Ronnie A. Dixon Park where a small ceremony was held. WINTER WONDERLAND – A cold front brought chilly winter weather to the area at the beginning of the week, as temperatures dipped into the low 20’s during the mornings. The arctic breeze even caused several fountains, such as the iconic Vidalia Onion Fountain at Ronnie A. Dixon City Park, and other bodies of water to freeze.Photo by Lisa Truxel
