Single-Vehicle Claims Life Of Baxley Man

The Georgia State Patrol (GSP) investigated a single-car accident on Old River Road, which took the life of one man on Saturday, March 19. Christopher Leon Bryant, 42, of Baxley, died at the scene after his vehicle left the roadway, vaulted and struck an embankment and trees before coming to a final halt upside down. quarter of a mile east of the intersection of Larry Dickerson Road and Old River Road in Toombs County. The Toombs County Sheriff’s Office responded to the dispatched call at 1:07 a.m. and contacted GSP upon discovering Bryant’s condition.

According to the GSP Investigation, Bryant was traveling on a curve when he lost control of the vehicle. The car skidded 120 feet before leaving the roadway, uncontrollably going another 95 feet to its final resting position.
