BPC Fishing Climbs Rankings

The Brewton-Parker Bass Fishing program continues to climb its way up the Association of Collegiate Anglers Bass Pro Shops School of the Year standings presented by Abu Garcia. The most recent standings were released just before the new year with the Barons gathering a total of 1,640 points to land at 61st in the standings, advancing two spots up the leaderboard. So far, Brewton-Parker has competed in a total of five events that have earned the program points towards the School of the Year Standings.

Hill Classic College Open at Clarks Hill Lake in Appling, Ga. BPC picked up 75 points for the SOY standings back on Dec. 18. While at Clarks Hill, the duo of Corey Yaden and Blake Stephenson earned a sixth-place finish with a five-fish bag of 14.93 pounds with a big fish of 4.15 pounds.

Dustin Lewis and Nicholas Watson also competed, finishing in 30th with a total of five fish for a 9.07-pound bag and a big fish of 3.19 pounds.

As for the rest of the season, Brewton-Parker has picked up additional tournament performances of 630, 530, 330, and 75 points to go towards the SOY standings.
