Mrs. Ruby Nell Partin “Grams” Morris, age 87, of Glenwood, died on Thursday, November 25, 2021, at McRae Manor after a brief illness. Mrs. Morris was born in Cedar Crossing, and lived all of her life in Johnson Corner and Glenwood. She worked at Oxford Industries and Hazlehurst Manufacturing in Vidalia for many years and was owner/operator of Conner’s Fried Chicken in Glenwood. She was a member of Glenwood Church of God and was a former charter member of Edmond Chapel Church of God, where she sang in both choirs. She is preceded in death by her husband, Henry S. Morris; infant son, Kirby D. Morris; 1 son-in-law, Warren Conner; her parents, Bud Grady Partin and Sally NeeSmith Partin; and 9 siblings, Lester Partin, Inez Partin Morris, Fred Partin, Eula Partin Denmark, Herbert Partin, Ernest Partin, Viola Partin Fiveash, Earl Partin, and Geneva Partin Powell.

Her family includes 2 children, Suel Henry Morris and Suel’s caregiver Elaine McDaniel, and Sue Morris Conner and Tom Parcell of Glenwood; 5 grandchildren, Michelle Morris of West Columbia, SC, Tony Conner, Perry Conner and wife Terri, all of Glenwood, John Henry Morris and Brandon Morris; 1 sister-in-law, Meredith “Reet” Partin, all of Johnson Conner; 12 greatgrandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service was held on Sunday, November 28, 2021, at 2:00 p.m., in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home, with Pastor Ronny Saxon officiating. Burial followed in the Hardens Chapel Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Tony Conner, Perry Conner, Marlon Conner, John Henry Morris, Brandon Morris and Jayson Conner.
