Mr. David Pickle
Mr. David Wayne Pickle, age 75, of Mount Vernon, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at his residence. He was born on April 25, 1945, in Alamo to the late Herman John and Ella-Dean Towery Pickle. He had worked as a logger for most of his life and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Bernard
Fountain. Those left to cherish his memory include four sons, Dale Pickle (Kendra), Robin Pickle (Jenny), Michael Pickle, and Phillip Pickle (Jessica); a daughter, India Clark (Can); a sister, Peggy Fountain; sixteen grandchildren, Peyton, Denton, Kelton, Weston, Keaton, Christopher (Chloe), Samantha, Landon, Brianna, Lilly, Ella- Grace, and Sophee Pickle, Kayleigh, Lane, Brileigh, and Colt McCoy; and two great-grandchildren, Caroline and Bentley Pickle; he is also survived by former wife and caretaker, Kathie Pickle; and former wife, Ann Burns Pickle.
The family received friends on Saturday, March 6, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Roberts – Stewart Funeral Home of Vidalia.
Graveside service and interment were held on Sunday, March 7, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, with B. L. Horne officiating. Pallbearers were grandsons.
