Oregon is home to one of the world’s deepest lakes.
With a depth of approximately 1,950 feet, Crater Lake in southcentral Oregon is the eleventh deepest lake in the world and the second deepest lake in North America. The National Park Service notes that Crater Lake, fed by rain and snow, is among the most pristine lakes on Earth, making it a popular destination for artists, photographers and sightseers.
