LETTER TO THE EDITOR
Neighbors Helping Neighbors Keep It Clean
Years ago after I had back surgery, I began taking my dog for walks around my neighborhood by riding her in my golf cart. At 15 years old, she was glad to have the ride. We started picking up trash along the streets, and I began keeping plastic bags and long tongs in the golf cart. My neighborhood is nice and quiet, and I am grateful to have kind neighbors. They often stop and help me. The other day when I couldn’t reach some trash at the bottom of a ditch, one of my young neighbors jogged by and did it for me. My neighbors, my dog and I are right in step with the “Keep It Clean Vidalia” campaign. M. Perry Vidalia
