Crusaders Sweep John Hancock
The Robert Toombs Christian Academy Crusaders hosted the John Hancock Academy Rebels for a doubleheader, with both the Lady Crusaders and the varsity boys team securing decisive victories.
Girls vs. John Hancock
The Lady Crusaders established control early and never looked back. By the midway point of the second quarter, RTCA had built a 23-8 lead. The defense clamped down for the remainder of the half, propelling the Crusaders to a massive 41-10 advantage at the break.
The dominance continued in the third quarter as RTCA extended the margin to 59-19. With the game well in hand, the Lady Crusaders cruised through the final period to finalize a 6019 win.
Boys vs. John Hancock
The boys' matchup followed a similar script, with RTCA showcasing highpowered offense from the tip-off. The Crusaders jumped out to a 22-9 lead by the end of the first quarter and kept the pressure on to take a 44-19 lead into halftime.
RTCA continued to execute in the second half, widening the gap to 68-30 by the end of the third. The Crusaders closed out the game strong, securing an 80-32 victory to complete the sweep for RTCA.
RTCA will have the rest of this week off and will be back in action next Monday at home against Edmund Burke at 3:00 p.m., and will be at Brentwood Academy on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m.
