Three Wins For RTCA Crusaders

The Robert Toombs Christian Academy Crusaders and Lady Crusaders faced a busy schedule last week, hitting the hardwood for 3 games in 5 days against Thomas Jefferson, David Emanuel Academy, and Frederica Academy.

Monday vs. TJ

The week began on Monday at home against the Thomas Jefferson Jaguars. The Lady Crusaders set the tone early, dominating the Lady Jaguars for a commanding 59-13 victory. The boys followed suit with a strong offensive performance, taking down the Jaguars 7443 to secure a sweep for the evening.

Thursday vs. DEA

On Thursday, RTCA faced the Eagles of David Emanuel Academy. The Lady Crusaders fought hard in a competitive matchup, keeping the score close throughout the contest, but ultimately fell short in a 54-48 loss. The Crusaders had an easier time in the boys’ game, pulling away from the Eagles to secure a decisive 60-25 victory.

Friday vs. Frederica

The teams wrapped up the week on Friday against the Knights of Frederica Academy. The Lady Crusaders struggled to contain the Lady Knights early, trailing 24-12 at the end of the first quarter and facing a 40-20 deficit at halftime. They went on to lose the game 61-36.

In the final game of the week, the Crusaders engaged in a defensive battle early. The Knights held a slim 10-9 lead after the first quarter and led 24-18 at the break. However, Frederica pulled away in the second half, handing the Crusaders a 55-34 loss.

This week RTCA will host John Hancock Academy on Thursday at home at 3:00 p.m.
