Vidalia Indians Are Area Champs


The Vidalia High School golf teams are Area Champions. Both the VHS boys and girls teams came away as Area Champions last week, with Skylar Fountain also coming in as Low Medalist for the Lady Indians.
Girls
The Lady Indians rolled to the Area Title as they came in with a team score of 186. Second place went to Dodge County with a score of 205, and Commerce was third with a 206.

Bloxham and Rileigh Scott both shot rounds of 107 for VHS.
Boys
For the VHS boys, Austin Mosley led the way with a round of 74 as the Indians took the title. VHS took 1st place with a team score of 324, Toombs County was 2nd with a 330, and Commerce was third in 331.
Along with Mosley's 74, Sam Sapp shot a round of 78, Tucker Reynolds shot 79, and Adam Crutchfield came in at 93.
The boys and girls will now prepare for the State Tournament, which will be held at Arrowhead Pointe Golf Course in Elberton. The tournament will be May 19-20.
