Dear Editor, During this season of Thanksgiving, we can be thankful to have our local newspaper, The Advance, still being published. All over the United States, local newspapers are closing down. Here in our area, The Advance continues to get better and better. Thanks to reporters like Deborah Clark, Makaylee Randolph, and Mike

Branch, along with others and those behind the scenes, The Advance keeps on improving. Of course much credit goes to the publisher, William Ledford, Jr., whose father and grandfather set excellent examples for him to follow and to improve.

We know it is important to have a place for advertisements and information about jobs available as well as political ads. Keep up the good work! We appreciate all that you do.
