LETTER TO THE EDITOR…

I keep a portion of Collins Highway cleaned up. I pick up trash off this highway every single day. There are some times when big items (ladders, wooden crates, mattresses) are dropped out of trucks.

In these situations I have to depend on Demetrius Ford from DOT to send someone out or he himself to come and get the item.

Normally people don’t actually do what they say they’re going to do. However, I will have to say that Demetrius is not one of those people.

I have had to depend on Demetrius for a few years now, and he is a stand up guy. I often tell him that if he ran for president I would campaign for him, and he laughs, but I truly mean it.

Hats off to a dependable, honest and hard worker. We live in a world where these traits have gone by the wayside.

Demetrius Ford, thank you for all you do, but most of all, thank you for your integrity. You are truly a man of your word. Thanks again, Joy Weaver, Lyons, GA
