Eagles #1 & #2 At State

Montgomery County High School Eagles track & field teams had a solid showing at the GHSA State A Track & Field Championships at Hugh Mills Stadium in Albany. The boys brought home the State Championship and the girls came away as the State Runners-up. Xavier Brantley was the High Point Athlete for the boys State Meet, and Marley Bell was the High Point Athlete for the girls State Meet.

Girls

Marley Bell finished in 1st place in the 300m hurdles, 1st in the triple jump, was 2nd in the high jump, and 6th in the long jump. In the 400m dash MaKyla Bell took 4th place. Rebecca Dominguez took 8th place in the 3,200m run. Ashmira Moye was 8th in the 300m hurdles. Jabrayla Coglin finished 8th in the long jump.

Boys

Xavier Brantley finished 1st in the 110m hurdles, took 2nd in the high jump, 2nd in the triple jump, took 4th in the 300m hurdles, Jordyn Patterson finished 2nd in the 800m run, was 8th in the 400m. Cameron Wallace finished 2nd in the 200m dash. NiShawn Wise was 4th in the 100m dash. Da’lan Fields took 6th in the 300m hurdles. Ahmad Carter finished 6th in the triple jump. Demorrius Brooker was 8th in the high jump.

The 4x100m relay team of Samari Madison, Cameron Wallace, Javeon Telfair, and NiShawn Wise came in 2nd place. The 4x200m relay team of NiShawn Wise, Samari Madison, Cameron Wallace, and Javeon Telfair came in 1st place. The 4x400m relay team of Demorrius Brooker, Ahmad Carter, Samari Madison, and Jordyn Patterson finished 4th. The 4x800m relay team of Jamarion Henderson, Gregory Rau, Collin Coleman, and Jordyn Patterson came in 3rd.

The MCHS Girls are State Runners-Up.
