Toombs Soccer Defeats Vidalia

Girls The Toombs County High School soccer teams picked up a pair of wins over rival Vidalia in The Pit last week.

In the girls game the Lady Bulldogs scored a goal in the first half to take a 1-0 lead into halftime. They added another goal in the second half of the game to take the win over Vidalia, 2-0.

Anyadi Colmenares scored both goals for Toombs. Josseline Zamorano added an assist.

Boys

In the boys contest Toombs and Vidalia were tied at halftime 1-1. In the second half it was a battle, but the Bulldogs found the mark one time in the second half to take the win, 2-1 over Vidalia.

Julian Marin-Vital scored both goals for Toombs. Jose Leon had an assist.

The Lady Bulldogs are 8-5-1 on the year and are 5-4 in the Region. The boys are 7-4-2 on the year and are 6-2 in the Region. This week Toombs was at Jeff Davis on Tuesday after presstime. They will host Swainsboro on Thursday with the first game starting at 5:00 p.m.
