fourth and then four in the fifth to lead 10-3. They added two more in the sixth inning on the way to a 12-3 win over Toombs.

Bryson Stanley led the Bulldogs with 2 RBI’s. Brantley Upshaw and Lucas O’Conner were on the mound for Toombs.

Vs. Benedictine

It was a tough battle for Toombs against their former Region foe. Benedictine is now in AAAA and sits in the top spot in Region 3AAAA.

The Cadets picked up two runs in the top of the first inning, but were held scoreless in the next two frames. Toombs, who is getting ready for their Region schedule, used multiple pitchers over the game to get them some mound time against a good team. Benedictine scored a run in the top of the fourth inning to lead 3-0 over Toombs as the Bulldogs kept it close. But the Cadets finally opened it up with four runs in the top of the sixth inning, and they added five more in the seventh to take the win, 12-0, over the Bulldogs. The Bulldogs are 5-5-1 on the year. Toombs will now head into the Region schedule as they play a series with Jeff Davis this week. The first of the three games was on Tuesday in Hazlehurst after presstime. They will be back on the diamond on Thursday in Lyons at 5:45 p.m. and then will play on Friday back in Hazlehurst at 6:00 p.m.
