JACK AND JESUS BY GARY TOOLE Most love Jack more than Jesus. That be Jack Daniels, but when they go to die not many will call on Jack but many on Jesus. Well, it may be too late! The bible says to call on Him while He may be found. Now you may not understand that but God does and He has the last say and no matter what man does or says, God is still in control. Life and death lies in His hands. So why not serve Him while you are able and the blood flows warmly in your veins. Jesus heals, but Jack makes you sick. Oh like the bible says, “Pleasure is for a season. Old Jack is good to you for a while and then he lets you down.” They say that the funeral director is the last man to let you down. Well, in time old Jack will let you down. Down with your head in the commode. Now church folks if the word commode is too rough for your delicate ears then grow up in Christ. Jesus didn’t just tippy toe in the tulips and speak sweet nothings. No! He could come up with some duzzies. Like dead man’s bones and filthy rags and dogs and swine to name a few but He never cursed andsweared. Somefolkssay that church folks ain’t suppose to get angry. Well hoop tee do! The words says to get angry and sin not. Anger is a wonderful emotion that vents your frustration and keeps you mentally healthy. Folks you all better quite arguing with God and me too! Telling me what to preach and what to say and what to write. I think God can handle that. So Jack makes you sick. They say that it is a disease. Well, it’s a sickness. A sin sickness and only Jesus has the cure. One old preacher said that if it is a disease then when you go to the whiskey store you ask the clerk to give you a bottle of that Jack Daniels disease. Oh well! So much for that. So if you call on your higher power as they misleading say, then make sure it is Jesus because next to His father in Heaven He has the highest of the highest power. Second to none and so if you are going to choose your god besides money and things then pick Jesus. He’s a real God. And the son of the most high God. Can you say amen? PD. ADV.
