CAR VERSUS TRAIN – Georgia State Patrol Post 18 Reidsville investigated a crash between a Nissan Altima and a westbound train at the intersection of Rudell Road and the Georgia 30 Railway in Vidalia on July 25. No major injuries occurred in the collision.

SCHOOL SAFETY MEETING - Vidalia City Schools Superintendent Dr. Garrett Wilcox met with the principals of the schools within the system and the Vidalia Police Chief James Jermon to discuss the school safety measures in place prior to school returning to session for the 2022-2023 school year. The group plans to have these meetings throughout the year to discuss, update, and improve school safety measures.
