Toombs County Back 2 School Bash Saturday July 30, 9:00 a.m - 11:00 a.m. Southeastern Technical College, 3001 E 1st St, Vidalia, GA PARTNERING WITH The Council is proud to partner with the Toombs County Family Connection and its many partners to provide information to Toombs County families and the community, at large, regarding the prevention of opioid overdose. The nation, state and even our community are facing many behavioral health issues due to the misuse and abuse of opioids. At the Back to School Bash, The Council will have information regarding the following prevention strategies: • Safe Storage/Secure Disposal of medications - free in-home medicine safes and disposal packs will be given away • Alternatives to pain medication • Naloxone availability to the community • Georgia Crisis in Access Line information • GA Medical Amnesty Law information - "Don't Run. Call 911" GOTDRUGS? Turn in your unused or expired medication for safe disposal Located in the Vidalia Police Department at 302 E 1st St, Vidalia, GA 30474 Rules: 1. Do not place used syringes into the depository. 2. Do not remove the label of the type of medication you are disposing of. All medication is to be accounted for by name of medication, dosage and by weight this will be logged and recorded. 3. Do not drop loose medication in a bag. 4. Do not drop none Prescription Medications. 5. Do not drop off empty medication bottles. 6 . Please verify there is in fact medication in the bottles befo re dropping.
